Core construction
Operating and power components: Common designs include a handle with a battery box or no external power required, and some high-end models also come with trigger-like limit control structures, allowing medical staff to operate with one hand; some products include a heating component that can warm irrigation solution to avoid cold liquid irritating the patient's tissues.
Delivery and functional components: Includes irrigation tubes and suction tubes, with the irrigation tubes used to deliver puls water flow and the suction tubes able to simultaneously aspirate waste fluid; paired with a variety of nozzles, such as short nozzles with splash prevention devices, longzzles that support simultaneous irrigation and suction, and bristle nozzles that can clean bone chips while irrigating, catering to different wound needs; some also have a screen to prevent impurities from clogging the pipeline.
Core features
Efficient cleaning: The frequency of the pulsating water flow is usually ≥3 times/second, and flow rate ≥500ml/min in fast mode, capable of powerfully removing necrotic tissue, bone chips, bacteria, etc. from the wound surface, reducing damage to surrounding normal tissues, such as improving the bonding strength of Bone Cement with the bone surface during orthopedic surgery.
Safe and convenient: Sterilized before the factory, single-use completely eliminates cross-infection; compact and portable, not only suitable for the operating room but also for ward, family nursing, and even outdoor emergency cleaning.
Adaptability: Can be paired with a variety of irrigation fluids, such as saline, and different models can match different scenarios such as orthopedics, general, burn surgery, laparoscopic surgery, etc., and some can also be used with collection bags to simplify the operation process.
Main application scenarios
Surgical irrigation: joint Replacement and internal fixation surgery, clean the wound surface and medullary cavity; in laparoscopic surgery, flush the abdominal cavity to avoid tumor cell implantation and metast; clean the surgical field in tumor surgery and thoracic and cardiovascular surgery to reduce the risk of infection.
Chronic wound care: For diabetic foot, pressure ulcers burn wounds, etc., remove bacteria-carrying tissues and secretions, promote the transition of the wound from the inflammatory phase to the proliferative phase, and reduce the of antibiotics and treatment costs.
Catheter care: Specialized pulsatile catheter irrigators can be used for the occlusion of indwelling catheters, etc, and through automatic pulsatile positive pressure irrigation, reduce the probability of pipeline blockage and avoid the pain of patients undergoing repeated punctures.
Typical usage process
After opening sterile packaging, take out the device and install the appropriate nozzle in place, and a click sound indicates a successful connection;
Connect the irrigation solution bag to the device pipeline, some need to connect the vacuum suction pump or turn on the battery box switch;
Select the fast or slow gear according to the needs of the wound, hold the handle and at the target area for irrigation, and collect waste fluid synchronously;
Discard it according to medical waste regulations after use, without the need for cleaning and disinfection
